Phal mannii Male
Default Phal mannii

I got this last summer in a two inch pot, and didn't expect to see any blooms so soon. I moved it to a three incher, and lo and behold, it bloomed. The first pic shows the whole plant, and the second, the top most flower. There are two more buds, so far. The flower is a little over an inch across. Really hard to photograph, but this is close.

Very nice. In my experience, mannii blooms pretty well in a cramped, smaller pot.

Congrats on the blooms! I really want one of these. I've read that some of them have a smell like mandarin oranges. The inflorescence is supposed to keep blooming and growing for quite a while and rebloom for multiple years. Imagine the show on an old plant!

I love this species. Thanks for sharing. It promises to be a big bloomer in the future.
