Oh, Kim that is gorgeous!!! what a great job you've done growing it!
Now, how big does the plant part of a phal. get after 10 years? Do you have a pic of the whole plant? I'm just curious as my oldest phal that I haven't given crown rot to is less than 2 years old.

You did an outstanding job with it!  I have also noticed from my phals that the older they get, the more spectacular their spikes are. Or maybe it's because my care of them gets better each year?

Camille, I think it's a bit of both, not to mention all the help and advice I have found here at OB.
Ethan, this is not a big plant, I have some MUCH larger than this one. It's in a five inch pot. You kind of get the idea with this pic, I hope.

I can't imagine your larger ones...Now that I've figured out how to prevent crown rot, I have something to look forward to. Thanks for sharing!! |
