Hi guys! Thanks for coming through for me!

After comparing my pics to yours and doing a google search, it appears that I definitely have Baldan's Kaleidoscope 'Golden Treasure'. It sounds like it's quite a vigorous grower, too - I can't wait!

This is what I love about the board - I never would have been able to id my NOID without you guys - thanks!!

I would be prepared to swear that's Baldan's Kaleidoscope. I have two of them because I love them so much and I know Mr. Livio Baldan and his family so I've seen hundreds of these in bloom at his nursery. I also know that there are only very few other orchids that look even remotely like this, and none of them have the nice orange flush near the center like this one does.

Here are some pictures of mine in different lighting just to show you. They can have a little variation in color intensity and do fade a little bit with time.

Hi Gwenchanter - Yep, that looks identical to mine. Even the leaves and the growth habit of the leaves looks the same as mine. And what a beauty you have there! Look like some nice ones in the background of that one pic, too!

Thanks for the pos. id!

Thanks! The redish one right behind it is Taida Salu and the yellower one is Brother Lancer, and to the right is a harlequin called Everspring King x Musachino "Britney".

Taida Salu, Baldan's Kaleidoscope and the one in my avitar are my three favorites.
I think some of them are in my gallery if you care to take a look!

I did take a look - what beautiful phals you have!! It looks like you have a great growing area for them, too. I really like your P. Daniella Van Ter Loak. What a beautiful pale yellow color!! If I EVER see a yellow phal like that I'm grabbing it!

Hehe yeah P. Daniella Van Ter Loak cost a little more then I'm used to paying for phals but I just had to have it, and it's a good size. I love how it quickly fades to a very creamy yellow as opposed to a more lemony yellow which you see more often. I'm going to post some close ups of the flowers, I just realized I didn't put any up!
