That is lovely. I love the hints of violet in the bloom.

Thanks Joan.... Is Kent anywhere near Lancaster? That is where my hubby's 5th cousin lives.

Hi Sheridan
Lancs is about a 5 hour drive from here. Quite a long way by British standards. I live in Deal just 8 miles north of Dover.

From here in the Midlands Wigan is what I would consider North, while Deal is definately South.

In the UK a 5 hour drive is considered a long way away although I know that most Americans I know think that it is not such a long distance and are used to travelling far more than we are in the UK. They tell me it's easier to get here to the UK than it is to get from one side of the US to the other.

I'm somewhere in between but I think both Wigan and Deal are a long way away from me (in oposite directions).

I love the flowers, the combination of spots at the center merging into stripes on the outside gives a stunning effect.
