Default Phal.Lobbii -is this a flower stem?

I was just giving this it's weekly 'dip' and noticed 2 new nubbins... I believe one is a root but the other looks like a flower stem in the making !! what do you think?
Apologies the photos arn't wonderful..

I got this little plant bare root in July and I mounted it on cork. It lives in my 'bottle' (plastic waterbottle-turned mini green house) It has lost a leaf & grown 2 since I've had it.

Yup, that definitely looks like a spike! yay! How do you make your plastic bottle greenhouse? Sounds interesting.

WOW! I'm very excited !! Will keep an eye on it. Thanks guys.
Camille It's just one of those huge plastic waterbottles you mostly get in offices ( drinking water distributors)
My Hubby cut it so I have a bottom & top. I've put a layer of Leca in. Not very fancy but works. I have a neo in another one and she's put out 3 growths this summer!
here's a pic..

That's a neat idea! It would work nice as a temporary terrarium for a few of my orchids. Just have to find a water cooler bottle now. Since there's no ventilation in there, do you have any problems with fungus/rot?

Seems to me you'd get ventilation from open top. Looks like the cap is off on the top half of the bottle.

Nenella, great idea, BTW

Camille, I have had the bottles for a year now, and have never done anything special to them.
regarding ventilation : The only thing I do is leave the top off the bottle for the night & next day (if I water during (late) pm) or if watered in early pm put the 'tops' back on in the morning before leaving for work.. Also as Lecent remarked, there are no tops..although I doubt that ventilates much..
