Default Big White NOID

This plant is over 10 years old and in a 10 inch pot. The spike is over 2 feet long and is badly bowing the stake I used to hold it up. The flowers are 6 inches across. The is the first time they have ever been green on the lip and pink in the back. Think it has something to do with not blooming for 2 years or MSU fertilizer?

It is so beautiful! White phals are my favorite phals. I love seeing your bloom plus your growing area in the background! Very nice. Thanks for sharing!

That's awesome, Tess!
Are there any roots actually in the pot?

Cool phal! If the spike was any heavier it would probably break the stake and rip the plant out of the pot! I don't know why it's more colorful. Maybe you have it in higher light than 2 years ago?

LOL yes there are roots in the pot otherwise it would be on the floor. The leaves are so big and heavy she is slowly pulling out of the pot.

Thanks every one for the kind compliments.....I almost gave this plant away last year, I am glad I didn't. But if she gets any bigger I don't know what I am going to do with her.

10 years old, WOW!!! And how curious that it's taken on these colors when it never showed any before now. The flowers are beautiful and so are those roots.

Happy growing!

Gorgeous! I have a "Great White NOID" too. It's flowers went from 4.5 inches last year to 5 inches this year. Took me 2 years after I saved it from Fred Meyers to see it bloom because my clumsy mother and brother broke the spike on 2 separate occasions! They are no longer allowed in my growing areas.
I'm not sure how old mine is but I hope it eventually gets as many flowers as yours does! It seems to stop at 4 blooms. There are more tiny little buds at the end of this spike still in their tiny sheaths, but they aren't doing much, if anything right now. Is there a way get more flowers per spike, or do I just need to do a better job growing it?

Here are some pics.
