Jorch, I think if they are line bred for peloria they will. If they aren't line bred it could show up intermitantly as you say. Kind of like the blooms that present without a lip.

Yes, if it is line-bred,then it is highly likely that the plant will continue to bloom with peloric flower. Would be interesting to see what licinius9's plant will do next time it blooms

As with everything to do with orchids there is a twist.

Quiltergal's picture (below) is a "regular" peloric phalaenopsis.




While Sandy4453's phal (below) is also peloric it has a twist and is known as a "lettuce leaf" peloric.




Notice how the blossom resembles a head of lettuce.
