Thanks everyone for your kind remarks.
I'll be sure to post photos when it is in full bloom...so far there are 4 open out of about 16 buds on 2 spikes.

I bought that same one today at RF orchids. Since I bought that one they only have one other one left! I really like it and I wish I knew more about the parentage. Obviously there is some kind of harlequin like Ever Spring King for example but I wonder where the pretty pink/peach background comes from.

Hi Gwen,
The cross is Phal. Brother Pirate King x Dtps. Brother Love Rosa.
The Brother Pirate King phal is most often red, although I saw a few that were more bronze in color when I looked it up. The Brother Love Rosa is a heavily spotted, dark red harlequin type with a peach colored lip. I do not know the exact cultivars used in the cross, so it's hard to tell for sure. I hope this helps.

Nice! Thanks for the info DGenovese! What a neat cross! I have another hybid Brother Pirate King x Taida Rose and it's basically a solid bright lipstic pink, so now I'm going to have to put these two plants next to eachother and be amazed they are half sisters!
Your photo is gorgeous! I'm a bit jealous becuase mine only has one spike but maybe next year I can get two like yours has =). Looking at your pic actually just makes me happy that I bought the plant hehe. You are a great photographer! Even if i did have that many flowers on mine i doubt I could take a pic of it that really shows its insane beauty like your pic does. Nice job!

Beautiful. Love the color combination. At first glance it looks like spots but it is really spots arranged in rows to form stripes.
