Gorgeous Gwen! I think yours is darker than mine. I'm keeping mine in pretty high light though so maybe that's the issue. I know we have the same cultivar.

On a side note, mine is STILL blooming! I can't believe it! It's been almost 3 months. I have found though that it will only have 2-3 flowers open at once. Anybody else have the whole spike in full bloom?

That's neat how the blooms are different shades. But I am partial to dark purple, sorry Ramon . I've been trying to get one for a while now. I've been trying on ebay, but either I'm outbid at the last second, or the price is too steep for me. But I will get one, someday. I love purple!

I wonder if temperature plays a part in the saturation of color? Mine started to bloom in the heat of the summer.

My temps have been quite cool. . .hasn't been warmer than 76 degrees for quite some time.

when my plant started blooming it was quite hot here. I have also observed that the newest flowers keep the dark color longer (it has been coller in the last two weeks)

however, they are stil paler than Gwen's I agree here with Camille, I like better the darker ones... that's I decided for this hybrid (it's supposed to have the darkest blue among "Phals")
