Default Splitting up a Large Phal

Hello!!

My neighbor has a huge Phal that she would like to Split. But not sure how. Nor am I.

Can someone plz tell us how to do this safely, and not hurt this beauty? And make 2 out of her?
I don't have a clue if you slice right down the middle of this or what??

And yes, there is a spike on one of the chids.

Hi , Soak the plant until the roots are green remove from the pot look to see where it joins , or if it does at all looks to me like 2 separate plants instead of one being a basal growth off the other if in fact it is then cut where it joins with a new razor blade coat cut with cinnamon and pot em up . I would think that the spike may sulk until it adapts to it's new potting situation if separated ..
Your neighbor could leave it and pot it in a larger container (basket) as a specimen Phal ..

Thanks to both of you. We're just afraid of hurting that spike!
