Default dtps snow flake

Hi there,
again my snow flake is blooming and again, second time now, the spike gets little "side spikes" (now idea how you call it in english) as it is supposed not to do it, and hasnīt done it in the first few years.

have a nice week
Elke

Hi, Elke. Really beautiful! Looks like it has a lot of doritis in it, based on the number and arrangement of buds, shape of flower, and irridescence. Do you know the parentage?

I'm curious because a pure white doritis is relatively rare. Here, anyway.

It is Dtps Snowflake (one word) as there is a Phal Snow Flake in the RHS registry

Dtps Snowflake = P. Juanita X Dtps Wonder Mountain

Elke when you say side spikes, are you referring to the plants ability to have a branch growing from the main stem and the branch also blooms?

well.. yes, I guess that is what I wanted to say.

the main spike, gets little side ones that will also bloom.

maybe it is the crazy weather that let plats react in a way they havenīt done befor

Congratulations Elke and good growing. The side branches are an asset and means somewhere in the pedigree one or more of the multi-branched species is in the background.

It means you are giving it good culture and it is rewarding you with all those blooms. Enjoy it, it is gorgeous.

Brooke
