Where did you find one mounted? Or did you mount that yourself. It's beautiful and one of the first full-sized Phals I've been tempted to purchase.

I got mine from Peach State Orchids, here in Atlanta, for about $12 or $13. If you go back and look at the picture you'll see a small spot on one petal, but the spot isn't a problem, just a blotch on the one flower. Peach State has great prices, and are really nice folks to boot.

Mirranova, you are correct on the SLOW GROWER!! My baby had that flower spike for about 2 monts with a PHAT BUD awaiting to open, but never would... I realize that's just it's nature I guess. Unlike other Phals.
And atleast OrchedWeb has the True color! I'm from now on, going to be very leary of pics I see when I'm purchasing... As this one, taught me a great lesson.

Hi Ross, I purchased her from Oak Hill, potted. And I always get them out of whatever they just came in, due to disease, etc.
And the Mount my own, always. I've bought some from Oak Hill mounted, but not to pleased with the wood they mount on. So that's why I do my own. I'm picky on the wood I guess. I mostly use Cork, as it's sooo light, and my babies love it
Thanks for dig'n her
I do too, just wish she had the Hot Pink I thought I was getting.

Hi JKelee,
I just read through the thread...have to admit that I've had a couple of laughs.. flying monkeys, huh? ummm?
I love your Sogo Grape! The color is fantastic!
I bought one at the Tamiami Orchid Festival in January from Springwater Orchids, and the color looks quite different...much closer to grape than your beautiful red. Here's a photo I took of it in March...it bloomed for about 5 months total before I cut the spikes prior to repotting it (I didn't want to stress it with the spikes still on).

Wow David, Pretty Sogo Grape you got there!!! You're more on the pinky side than me!! I'm such a deep rasberry/cherry red!! You got a Beautiful Baby there
As for the Monkeys.. I say that when someone wants me to do something soooo crazy, that my reply is;
"Sure, when Monkeys Fly out My Butt"!! One of my siblings taught me that one, growing up in big family.
