Default Super Fat Seed Pod

This has been pollinated with John Ewing "Gosh" x Joy Spring Canary "Joy"

I am hoping for colorful flowers with faboulas colors and it would be a definate plus as it should be fragrant.

Enjoy!

Cool, that sounds like a lot of fun. I am not at that stage yet (still figuring out my own pollinating issues) but still find it intriguing. I don't know if I have that kind of patience. What is it like a five to seven year wait?

Normally, when I pollinate a flower it normally fatten's up like you see in the picture. Phals are normally about 6 months to be ready to harvest. Once that is done, I send it to the lab and I usually get flasks back in a year and 1/2 depending on how fast the protocorms germinate. When they are big enough, I will re-plant them from the flask to compots or individual 2 inch pots if they are large enough and I can usually flower seedlings about 1 year or 1 1/2 years. Total, about 3 years for me .....

That's pretty fast. I guess Phals are faster than Vandas and probably slower than some. Interesting subject. Thanks for the link, just what I need for when I deeflask my ghost orchid. Great timing.
Thanks again
