welcome! i think your phal looks like a big leaf phal. if it is indeed, then i don't think you really have much to worry about because they tend to be wilt-y looking.

oh, and i wouldn't water more often. i just saw that question. i think every 7 days is okay, depending on how dry your house may be (since you said you run ac). to test, sharpen a pencil and slowly wiggle it down. when you pull it out, if it is bone dry, then you might need to water. i would definitely increase your humidity for now to help your plant adjust.

I really don't like the idea of "water so often - x number of times". I prefer clear pots and water when the medium looks dry and the roots turn whitish. It's fail-safe.

well, like i said, it depends. i don't know her environment. i found that 7 days works for me and that is just an estimate because right now, since it is monsoon season and it is so humid, i have gone two weeks without watering. i just wish that when i had started out, someone had given me an estimate because i would water almost every other day. This way, LittleOnion has a time frame to work around so that she can get an idea of how often phals need to be watered. I guess it also depends what kind of pot you have. If you are using terracotta, they dry out faster. plastic retains moisture better. i like your tip about the clear pots, Ross. i think that would have also been a very beneficial tip to have had in the beginning.
