I really can't say I'm doing anything different for this one than any of my others. It bloomed abundantly a year ago (all of spring/summer) with two spikes that lasted several months. Once done, I cut it back and it seemed to rest all this time until probably March/April and started to sport a new leaf, then all these new roots gradually appeared. I water it when the beads of water are gone (I use clear pots), and fertilize weakly weekly.
That's all folks!

It's called Octopus Juice! You wouldn't believe how hard it is to rustle an octopus.

Any time there's new growth- roots, leaves, blooms, It's a good thing! They are going for the moisture in the air.-It's a happy plant!

Let alone how hard they are to come by in your locale!

You should bottle it!

Kiki - I can only imagine what it must look like squeezing the 'juice' out of an octopus ..

Due to lack of space, I have orchids all over the house. I have one phal in a bathroom with southern exposure, indirect of course. Anyway, it gets more humidity in there than any other phal I own. It is doing that too. Roots everywhere, huge leaves. I want my DH to put some shelves on the wall so I can put all the phals in there! It is a lavender noid.
