Phal Irene Dobkins
This just opened. Tim (Orchidophile) works at a WalMart in Ohio and had shown this flower a loooong time ago. I contacted him and found he had family near me. I asked him if there were any more since my local WM had none. They did and he brought me two....neither were in the best of shape...not Tim's doing, since he knows something about chids...just the kind of thing that happens in big box stores. Anyway, one isn't doing so well but like most of us I'm holding out hope until the fat lady sings. The other is doing just fine! We/I don't believe the name on the tag is correct, but it is a beauty anyway! Thanks Tim.

I agree, Dorothy, it is a nice flower but all the pics I've seen of Asconopsis Irene Dobkins (Elmhurst or York) are solid colored orange/peach...but it doesn't matter as long as it remains healthy and grows!!!!

Another gorgeous one Doc! I never see any good phals at our Wal-Mart either. I love the orange in it. Just beautiful!
