hey guys!!!
i just joined!
i have about 10 phals and i am itching to mount one. ive read up on them and i know thats how they grow in nature. but i was wondering how much sun the plant can take when upside down. thanks guys!!
Mounted phals, i.e., leaves down, roots up, can take no more sun than a potted one. They naturally grow "upside down" so water sheds off them and doesn't collect in the crown. Most grow low to the forest floor where they are protected from bright, direct sun by the leaf canopy.
