Cool My Phreaky Phal. Flower Child 'Carmela'

I truly don't know what happened with this poor thing. It started to die of root rot many years ago but I repotted just in the nick of time. Then I went on vacation for 2 weeks and the caretaker forgot to water it. That lack of water somehow damaged the crown. It started to grow again just last year but not convincingly. It also developed two crowns. I'm not sure if it was trying to put up a basal Keiki and it came up inside the plant instead of beside it. Weird. Anyway I just moved it to S/H last month to give it a nudge and boy howdy did it take off. It looks really strange though. On the brighter side if it really has two fully functioning crowns then I think I've significantly increased my odds for double spikes if it ever gets happy enough to bloom again!

It looks great!! And I would say you probably have 2 basal keikei's there. It's chances of double spikes looks good to me....very healthy growths. Congrats on a "big save!"
