My 1st Bloom, finally!
Hi everyone,
I'm proud to say I finally got one of my orchids to bloom. I finally did something right...now if I could get the other 20 to bloom, then I might start feeling more confident!
This is Phal. Baldan's Kaleidoscope.

Hey,
Congrats Helen on you first bloom. Its funny, my Phal. Baldan's Kaleidoscope that I got from Home Depot was my first blooming orchid. I remember the first time I saw the signs of a spike and prayed it wasn't another root. Enjoy your flowers and good luck with the rest of your orchids.

You should be proud! That's a gorgeous Phal., thanks to your good growing. I love Baldan Orchids. They're one of my favorite suppliers of Phals. and really nice people to speak with. I don't know how many you've gotten from them but have you found that a lot of their Phals are prone to delivering basal keikis? I've always wondered if they raise these with additional hormones or something?
Give it time and your others will spike when they're ready to. Hopefully by autumn, when the temps drop, you'll start seeing spiking. Enjoy!

Congratulations, Helen! Isn't it a wonderful feeling! And that is such a beautiful plant, I already have it on my wish list. Well done.
