Repotted Phal. Stuartiana In Spike
Today I repotted my new Phal. Stuartiana. I decided to do that because it had a few long roots coming out of the bottom of the pot. It's a good thing I did because some of the roots were dead. In general the roots looked good, I think the dead roots were old and it already has new roots. It was originally in a green plastic pot but since it's in spike I repotted it in a glazed decorative pot with a good-sized drainage hole at the bottom. I used fresh medium bark mix which I soaked overnight.
I hope the plant likes its new home and that the spike doesn't suffer shock from being repotted. It's already about 6" long and looks very healthy.

It's been a week since I repotted my Phal. Stuartiana in spike. So far it seems to be going good in its new home. I think the spike grew a bit but I didn't get an exact measurement before repotting for comparison.

Glad to hear it's doing well. It seems to me that phals like being re-potted. Mine seem to perk up and put on new growth when they get a fresh out-look on life.
Keep us posted, can't wait for the flower pic's.
