Default Paraphalaenopsis denevei

I'm pretty excited.

When I joined this board a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I hoped to find Paraphal. denevei. Some years ago I had two of the plants, but a spiteful ex- sadly did them in, and I've been looking for the plant haphazardly since. In fact it was on a recent search for the species that I came across this board!

Anyway, Dorothy, one of our SuperModerators, suggested that I try Dowery Orchids for the plant. Dwayne there quickly replied that he'd just gotten some in, and was acclimating them before selling. Today I got his new list in email and immediately sent an order off to him, and will soon have two beautiful, new plants.

Yes, I'll absolutely post photos, though I doubt either will bloom at least until next Spring.

Dorothy, once again I send you my thanks.

I've only "known" her for a couple of weeks through this board, but I'd have to say that, as the person who helped me find these plants after several years of looking (haphazardly, I'll admit) I consider her to be a very special person indeed!

My Paraphal. denevei plants arrived today from Dowery Orchids. Wow! It's so nice, after a LOT of years, to again have this species in my home. To my eyes it is the most exquisite of all of the Phal. alliance! Neither plant is in spike, but both are very healthy and arrived in excellent condition. I think it goes without saying that when they do bloom I'll post pictures.

And as a PS, I once more want to thank Dorothy for pointing me in the direction of Dowery. I wouldn't have these new lovelies were it not for her!
