Default Phal. Brother Sara Gold

I bought this lovely in bloom at our local orchid show in April. It's a tough color to photograph, but this comes close to accurate. Thanks for looking.

Wow, that is really beautiful! Great photo too! I was wondering if the flowers on yours are small compared to other phals? I received one as a bonus with an order and it is a tiny plant with fairly small flowers. I was curious if this was normal as I've never seen one in person.

Sarah, yes the flowers on this one are about half the size of my standard Phals. The plant is plenty big though! It appears to have a branching habit so what it lacks in size it could make up for in numbers of flowers. It definitely has potential. I hate the way the grower I bought this one from staked it. It's a double spiker and they staked the spikes away from each other in the shape of a V, and rather than let the flowers form a nice natural arch they are clipped all the way to the tip of the spike. Looks like it spent several months in a torture chamber! That will be remedied very soon.

Very nice plant. I have one quite similiar that I found labeled as Wedding promenade. Mine's a total space hog, too. Pictures don't do the blooms justice.
