minus pictures...

This is one of my all time favorite species. It is also very difficult to photograph.

In my opinion this is an award quality sample of 'minus', when in flower it always has multiple spikes that branch, with a high flower count. The flower form and color speak for it's self!

I do not recall where I purchased this plant. I have had it for several years and have purchased many plants between then and now, from so many different vendors [overseas and state side] that they just blend together.

It's a beaut! Nice shots. Sometimes these extreme macros with shallow depth of focus is really difficult. The bottom one is, technically, the best, but I like the top one (close-up) best. Nice job.

Its colour is really so blue? Seems almost a coerulea type...

No; the color is really purple not blue. Sometimes it has to do with how your computer monitor is set-up, and sometimes it is the way my camera captures the color under my lights.
