Default Mutant Phal!!!

Hi all, they packed my Home depot with orchids for mothers day and being that I have been called a "mother" or something like that I figured I was entitled to get one. After looking over all of them I noticed this one had 3 lips on all of the flower and new buds. Has anyone seen this before? I have had only 1 flower on others that did this but not all of them! So I couldn't help myself and bought it. Of coarse the tag only say Phalaenopsis.

Dorothy beat me to that one. I used to have a couple of Phals like that. They're quite interesting, and, if my experience is correct, pelouric Phals always bloom that way.

Really cool peloric, Dave!
Happy "Mother's" Day

Pelorics can change their habit and might not always bloom the same way...always a surprise!

Alright! I'm going to HD to search for peloric phals. Do you think it is some genetic thing that happens when these mass produced orchids are pushed to grow and bloom rapidly?
