Too many new aerial roots?

Spring has officially sprung and all my orchids are starting to push out lots of new growth! One of my Phal NOIDs in particular has put out 19 new aerial roots in the last 2 weeks. I'm quite happy it's growing so much but does anyone have any guesses to why it's producing so many aerial roots? 19 seems a little excessive to me but I guess we can never really know what our plants are thinking haha

Excessive roots!! Haha no such thing! A plant is only as good as its root system!

That is naturally how phals grow. If you have a dry environment like I do, you can steer them into the media. If you have a very humid enviromment you can just let them go wherever they want. From.what i see you have a vert healthy plant!

Also, does uva-ursi grow all the way up in Canada?? We have it way down in New Mexico but only at high elevations (2500m or so)

Phals are epiphytes so if they're happy, they do what they do just like yours.

It sure does! I see it quite frequently in gardens around my parts, though a quick google search tells me it grows throughout the country.
