Hello i really like the side mount phal photos, ive been growing my phals in spag, in clear pots im not having any current problems but after seeing the photos of these side mount phals trained to these 1" or so thick pourous matierials in the photos above im interested in trying this method,,, can anyone tell me what this matierial is ?and where i might purchase this matierial here in the USA? thanks again for sharing the photos and giving us ideas,, love the phals!!!!!

Craig, the slabs are most likely tree fern or cork slabs. You can get either at most places that sell orchid supplies. You might also check into EpiWeb. It's a recycled product that simulates tree fern.
