Phalaenopsis Jiaho’s Pink Girl
Phalaenopsis Jiaho’s Pink Girl. Has 32 blooms at last count. I received this as a replacement plant for an Orchid Classics order last spring that got delayed and mangled by USPS. The plants spent a weekend in a cold storage room and the box was crushed with holes in it. I dutifully filed a claim but as soon as Peter saw the pictures he sent me new plants, thus was one of them. It arrived at the tail end of its bloom last spring, but this year it is putting on an incredible show.
There were two plants in the original mangled box, a javanica that died pretty quickly and the original Jiaho’s Pink girl, which was set back quite a bit but has been recovering and will probably bloom later this year. USPS never coughed up a cent as far as I know.
The only tiny regret is that thus clone has no fragrance so far, but the floriferousness is quite remarkable.
