Talking Phal. Yu Pin Lady 'Magic Art'

In anticipation of my order arriving (hopefully) by the end of next week, I've been of a bit of a shopping spree.

Today, I bought a humidifier, a hygrometer and a soldering iron. The latter because I realized when the Phals I had recently all had a lot of condensation inside the pots. It seems more air circulation is needed under my care, so extra holes will be added to every pot!

The hardware store I bought the soldering iron at is within walking distance of the garden center where I bought my previous 'Magic Art' aaaaaand I happened to read on their homepage that they had gotten more of them.

The plants in this new batch were smaller and had fewer flowers than the previous ones, which makes me wonder if this batch were the last ones the seller had.

I'm going to repot tomorrow because I can see the peat-plug and I'll kill the plant if I leave that in the pot.

Anyway, I picked out the nicest and healthiest looking one as far as I could tell and here it is:

And here's the entire plant:

It has what looks like mechanical damage on some of the leaves and I hope that's all it is.

How lovely! Nice pick.
A magic art phal. has been on my wish list ever since I learned of its existence, so I'll be living vicariously through yours.

I didn't even know they existed until I came across it in the same store a couple of weeks ago. I pretty much threw myself at them as soon as I spotted them, so I knew I wanted a new one when the opportunity presented itself.

Wow, that's beautiful, and it's one I have probably heard of before but now that I'm reminded of it, it's on my wish list, too! Sadly, they appear to be out of stock everywhere here in the USA.

It is lovely,
I'm waiting for something similar. Its really just a filler to the order, it was 0.99c to add it to the order. I couldn't go past that! Dtps Yu Pin Dream Girl.

Yeah, they seem to sell really well and I've noticed several vendors that used to have them, are out now. That's why I got a new one and there weren't many left at the garden center. Close one!

I can understand why you couldn't resist. I would've probably taken two.

That's a gorgeous Phal! I've heard about it and seen photos before, but never had the joy of adding it to my collection. I added a Phal Chiada Francis 'Picotee' to my collection instead, which has the same sort of markings, and which was an incredible (named) supermarket find!

Gorgeous phal Camille! I have one that looks the same. I was told by someone with the same looking bloom it was called Phal Papayago. I wonder if the name I have was a name given just for selling as I can find the name for yours on orchidroots but not the name I have for mine.

Phal Papayago is a trade name, and it seems pretty common to give Phal hybrids trade names. Another good example is Phal Wiganiae (schilleriana x stuartiana) which is often sold under the trade name of Phal Philadelphia.
