UPDATE on the keiki! As it turned out, it really was a spike that was growing on my freshly potted keiki! Only 8 months old, with leaves half the size of an adult phal, but it's blooming anyways. The flowers are a tad smaller, only 1 inch wide. It didn't seem to trouble it's growth at all. All while growing the spike it started new roots and finished the latest leaf, with a new one showing up. This particular hybrid seems to be good at multi tasking I love it! Next time I get a keiki, I'll gladly give it to any EU member that wants it! (sorry, this keiki is mine, in case something happens to the adult plant!!
