Using Bloom Booster as your only fertilizer could cause problems. Bloom Booster is actually not necessary at all. It's best to use a fertilizer in which the middle number (phosphorus) is much lower than the other two.
Here's some information on fertilizers from Ray's site:

Hi there,
I thought we are supposed to cut up high under one of the nodes? Not 1 1/2" above the pot/medium? I didn't know that was good for it? I guess I'll try that on one of them and see.
So you're saying to cut it at the Lowest point just below the LAST node on that spike? I didn't know that nodes were that low, so close to the medium? But I'll try it tonight.
I'm going to try the 20-20-20 for a while 1/4 strength, weekly/weakly.
And I'll move them to a new location as well.
Thanks.

Hi,
I cut mine just above the first node.(from the medium up) I've seen them cut even lower.(below the first node) In either case the purpose is to stop the spike from growing or sending out side branches or keikis.
Good luck and keep us posted! We are all here to learn.

Hi Jkelee,
If you are refering to the cork bark, I've found it at a greenhouse that sells a few orchids. I did check e-bay the other day and there is a vendor there. Just do a search for orchid mounting cork.
If you are refering to the wooden slat mounts with pots, I make them from scrap wood.

I've been looking on Ebay all day, since seeing your pretty mounts Al. And there's not One out there selling mounting cork, or Orchid mounting cork. Or ANY Orchid Mounting Wood even! Guess I have to go for a walk in the woods now
