Wish I could direct you to a source because it's a beauty. I'm just grabbing at straws here but since it is an art shade I'd write to Baldan's. They are known for their art shades. Won't hurt to try.

Just a little info from the RHS registry -
Phal Desert Mist = Phal Via Goldmine X Phal Meridian Rose
Registrant - Selles
Originator - uk
Date of registration - 6/7/1999
and it's photo - Phal Desert Mist 'Irma' AM/AOS pictures from gardens photos on webshots

I have attempted to find this phal for you without success
but Baldan's has some beauties in similar artshades -
Al is so right!
eBay Seller: baldanorchids: Yard, Garden Outdoor Living, Home Garden items on eBay.com
I have bought Phal equestris 'Gino' and 'Riverbend' x 'Zuma Beach' from them and they are hardy and healthy orchids - I would purchase from them again
Check out - ORCHID SPECIE HYBRID" BALDANS TEQUILA SUNRISE" IN SPIKE - eBay (item 140225305472 end time Apr-23-08 17:42:58 PDT)
and ORCHID ' BALDANS SWEET MELODY' EXCLUSIVE LARGE BUDS - eBay (item 140225989201 end time Apr-26-08 09:04:42 PDT)

You are most welcome and I am sorry we couldn't help you more. Please stay around on the board and let us know if you have any luck. I'm interested in it also now that you have brought it to my attention! (what's another phal). By the way, I love your log in name! Conjurs up a delightful picture of your home!

Wow, that's a beauty - I found one at Orchids of Wickford, bare root for $35. I bookmarked and may buy it if I don't fall in love with something else soon. Thanks for the suggestion!

Default Ottercottage Sign-In Explained

Al, this is funny - one of my Sp. Ed. students thought I actually live with otters! I have a stuffed otter on my desk at work. It's my Native American totem, and in the NW we have many freshwater and sea otters to play with. I'm still looking at Baldan's - they have a great selection on Ebay right now.
