Phal. Shingher Pure Love x gigantea
Hi there,
It's still gonna be some more weeks but i'm posting so you could join my anticipation during the wait
This is what i'm hoping for:
And this has been her progress so far:
08.13.
08.24.
08.31.
It's begun to develop some colour. ![Banana Slide](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/bananapowerslide.gif)
And what's interesting's that when the first pic was taken in the middle of August i was sensing quite strong fragrance from the tiny bud! (Thought i was crazy but my hubby confirmed - not that i was crazy! ![Big Grin](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/biggrin2.gif) ) Is this a thing, does it happen sometimes? I've had quite a few of these babies before but i've never come across this phenomenon. ![Scratch chin](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/scratchchin.gif)

I've never heard of scented buds, yours must be a first!
Looks the the flower is nearly there, I'm looking forward to the final photos in a day or two!

And it's quite interesting, coz it lasted only a few days and never came back. I would clearly think i only hallucinated or smelled something else if my hubby hasn't confirmed that he also thinks that it was this bud.. <We're both crazy!>
Sooooooo. Here we are:
Not quite like the sample photo, have to say. I'd be much happier if it resembled that picture more (pattern-wise, with bigger spots) but i'm still loving anything gigantea and looking forward to its final shape stretched. Btw looks more like a Mok Choi Yew, doesn't it?.. ![Rolling Eyes](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

So it took about a week after the bud opened for the fragrance to return. First if was NOTHING, then a "vegetable smell" and now it has the same fragrance that i smelled when the bud was still tiny. That is a complete mystery!
So i guess it's the most streched it's gonna be.
I know it's silly but since the fragrance returned i like it so much more.. ![Coverlaugh](http://www.orchidboard.com/community/images/smilies/new/coverlaugh.gif)
