Is this a keki ?

At first I thought it was a flower spike but as it started to enlarge it looks like it might be a keki ? I didn't think keikis could emerge between leaves.

The end of the spike is hollow, looks like the beginning of a leaf. If do, it seems to be an odd place for a leaf/keiki to emerge

Maybe it will be both. I had that happen last year with my Phal. Formosa Dream. After putting out a nice spike that had quite a few flowers, as the flowers came to the end of their lives, it put out a new bud at the end of the spike, which bloomed, but it also grew leaves and roots around that flower, and now it's a keiki that I removed and planted. Your spike does have a bit of an odd appearance, kind of thicker at the base, and the end of it has kind of a sharp look, but it could just be the camera angle. Orchids like to surprise us. I think you'll have fun waiting to see what happens here.

That's the "sharpness" at the end that I thought I was seeing. That definitely looks like a baby leaf. It will be interesting to see how it progresses.
