Assuming they really are they same hybrid, I’d bet they are reciprocal crosses.

I'm fairly sure they are the same cross, several vendors used the same photo collage from the supplier which showed several different floral phenotypes. I also researched it a bit, and this just seems to be an extremely variable cross. A shame that there's no information on which species is seed or pollen parent for the various phenotypes!

I actually have both parents, so would love to remake the cross in both directions and see what comes out of it.

I have no self control, I've just gone ahead and ordered a third plant! It's a young plant but rather cheap, so no big deal if I end up with a duplicate of plant number 2.

Of course I've somehow ended up with an entire boxful of orchids in addition to the Bronze Maiden....

Mr. Fakename, I'll send you a PM with the vendor name, they only had 2 left!

Brilliant, sign me up for seedlings. I have a Phal violacea alba x Phal violacea Malaysian blue capsule underway if you want to trade

And yes please, if that's a trustworthy seller (cf the recent topic about Claessen), I'd be happy to check out what they have!

Also, weren't you saying in several posts something along the line of "my boyfriend doesn't want me to get more orchids because we're running out of space"?

Oh, there's always space on my shelves for more orchids! It's more an issue of us having widely differing opinions on what we consider 'enough' orchids to be. He's unfamilar with the concept that one can never have too many orchids in their collection.

Love the new plant but your first one with the strong mannii influence is just fabulous. I've seen Bronze Maidens in a few youtube videos but never seen one quite like your first plant. Please update us with the 3rd one when it blooms!

Plant number 3 has arrived! (along with 3 travel companions). I'll be repotting it this weekend since it looks like they repotted it shortly before I bought it, and the pot is far too big for my liking.

I'll be very curious to see the blooms. Plant 1 has mannii blooms with some leaf mottling from the schilleriana parent, while plant 2 is the opposite. So I wonder if this means that plant 3 will have mannii influenced blooms like plant 1. Hard to say since I only have a sample size of 2 to compare with!
