I think I have a really happy plant I want to make a seed pod

So I bought my wife a orchid for Valentine's day. It's still blooming and producing new flowers on the two spikes it came with. It's shooting two more spikes up right now. One is about 11 inches the other is about 4 both are actively growing . I have another a phalaenopsis in bloom and I pollinated the one with four spikes will a seed pod be too much for this plant to handle.It has a very healthy root system the leaves look healthy. I understand the concept of growing orchid seeds in a flask. I grew mushrooms very successfully for a couple years so I think growing orchids from seed would be a fun challenge

One fruit on a healthy plant should be no problem. You have some time to read about it. Most people harvest the pod before it splits open, because they can sterilize the outside of the pod and then cut it open to get sterile seeds. You can read about when to do this.

There are also labs you can send your mature green pods to and they will sow them, grow them on, replate them, and then send them back to you when they are ready to come out of the flasks. Unless you just want the challenge of trying it on your own, sending the pod to a lab is a good way to go. You're more sure of success that way.
