Default Phalaenopsis Chia E Yenlin 'Horng Lin'

Here's one of my favorite Phals blooming again. It had a long length of bare stem sticking out above the pot and it had panty of roots on the leafy part, so I cut away the bare stem and replanted it with the leaves level with the medium and it has recovered very well. Didn't seem to mind at all. I just love this one and wanted to show it off again. Sorry the pictures are sideways, I'm posting this directly from my phone.

It is beautiful and looks very healthy!

I tend to knock off buds or stems of Phals so mine never look very nice when in bloom. I plan to find new homes for mine at the next orchid meeting (whenever that may be) so they can reach their full glory.

All JScott's pictures have cleanings supplies in them. He is a tidy orchid person!

His name is Shadow. He was a rescue cat from a hoarding situation. His temperement is more dog-like than cat-like. He's so friendly, when a stranger comes to the house, he doesn't hide, but comes right up and aproaches the person to say hi. When I went to the shelter to pick out a cat, I want into a room with a bunch of cats playing on various structures and with each other. I was crouched down watching them, and Shadow stopped what he was doing, walked up to me, and just put his paw on my left knee, and looked up at me. That was it. I didn't even consider another cat. He chose me, so he's the one I took.

I hate cleaning the house, it's my least favorite thing ever, so I clean at least one thing every day, so I can spend fifteen minutes a day cleaning so I don't have to devote an entire day to cleaning, which might well kill me, so whatever cleaning products are visible in my pictures, that's probably what I was cleaning that day haha.

Thank you Ray, it really is a good one. Blooms two or three times a year, and it's a nice little compact plant. I have a few huge Phals, like Sogo Yukidian, which is probably 24 inches or more wide from leaf to leaf tip, and the flower spike is like a tree trunk, and I love it but it is a bit cumbersome to deal with plants that large in my limited space, so I really appreciate the tiny ones

That's the way we picked our beloved BC. She elbowed her way to the front of the cage and picked us! The CPS took the kids away until the mom got rid of all their cats. Our blesding.

Nathan came from a sad hoarding situation. The hoarders were arrested a couple years after we rescued him from his rescuers.

I was never told what happened to my Shadow's hoarder. He's a friendly, social, gregarious cat, and we could as soon as we brought him home that he was starved for attention. He's so affectionate and he always wants to be around people. Really hope his hoarder got what she deserved.

Same with Nathan. He's a people cat for sure, never met a stranger.
