What a great looking Phal! Crosses with gigantea often yield some very nice and large flowers. Did it inherit any of the fragrance of gigantea?

Growing Phal gigantea mounted is advised but not mandatory. If you plan on having it outside or in any growing condition where it will get it's leaves wet, mounting is definitely a good idea. However for strictly indoor culture potting can work as well. Mine is potted since I did see photos of nice specimens in greenhouses in potted, that were hanging at an angle. My pot is also at a 45 degree angle, just from the weight of the leaves. I left it like that since the plant seems rather happy to be hanging off the edge of my shelves...
