Phalaenopsis Pylo's Red King Male
Default Phalaenopsis Pylo's Red King

Phalaenopsis LD's Bear King x Phalaenopsis corningiana

I got this from Peter Lin (Big Leaf) last year. I really like the this, I did not expect the flowers to be as large as they are. I also like that this clone isn't completely solid red, which many seem to be based on photos I've seen online. Overall, I'm quite happy with it. It's very floriferous.

I actually purchased this for the scent. I love the artificial grape smell like grape candy or grape soda of Phal. corningiana. Unfortunately, this one doesn't really smell much like that. It's more cinnamon candy / sweet-spicy than grapey. The fragrance is very strong around mid-morning, and then it goes away completely by early afternoon, but it's strong enough to fill the plant room and sometimes I even catch a whiff from the hallway when I walk by.
