Not worth it, and anyway I'm not sure I can run it as is due to the different voltage here. I can find and order something else, it's just that the ikea light was just more convenient since there's a store nearby.

I'm in weed country, there are plenty of online "hydroponic" stores. But they don't stock much other than HID lamps and the like. I'll hunt around on these sites, which is what I was hoping to avoid by going the ikea route.

The terrarium supply store I got my power compact light from no longer sells it and they now focused on lighting for reptile needs rather than plants.

Also, you are only supplementing with artificial light and not totally depending on it so you don't need 5000 lumens. Or use less lumens for a longer duration.

If you really wanted a couple of these Sunblaster
fixtures, you could have someone in the states buy
them and then re-send them to you. Guess i could

I suggested that. Camille tells me that the power sources are different overseas and that shipping also is not feasible. (Its in an earlier post).

Thanks for the offer MrMiagi, that's kind of you. But as Dolly said, there are power issues (220v here) and shipping from the US would cost more than the fixtures themselves.

I did manage to located some T5HO fixtures here (including sunblaster), BUT no HO bulbs, so I'm ditching that plan. I actually came across a different led light which has about twice the output as the Ikea one, and has proven results with plants, and is the same price. It should be here tomorrow!
