Suggestions to convert shelf to grow light set up?

I had to go through a few orchid phases, including a 'Collect-them-all' phase, before I discovered what I really enjoyed growing and I have recently drastically down-sized accordingly. Good luck!

I hit a wall around 75. I've gone through a lot more (killed) but 75 seems to be about my threshold.

Back to the OP:

I think that shelf is too nice (it's real furniture!) but an option that worked for me was household LEDs with desk lamps, the kind with a bendy neck. I grew lower light-low profile plants though.
