Finally, the hydroponics shop (which provides the cheapest lights, heat mats, and LECA around) has these lights in stock. I believe they were around $115-120CAD.

Anyone tried them? Any reviews?

I'm currently using the T5H0 light and the plants love it.

LEDs seem so much more efficient, I'd like to try it on another shelf (more grow space...)

Yes I use them on my orchids. My Sunblaster lights are not as long as yours. I have them hanging from my shelf 2 or 3 of them together. My orchid room has no windows so I use these just over my orchids to give them the correct amount of light they need. I first started using them when I had seedlings and they love them. They have pieces that connect each to the other so you have 1 plug to plug in the electric if need be. I live in a older house and it great for me because I don't have a lot of electrical outlets.

I use LEDs, but not the strips. Interested in checking them out. Thanks for the post.

Sunblaster is a good company. I have some of their fluorescents. If they are into LED's, I am interested in finally daring to try them.

I use LED lights on all my indoor plants. The orchids I use a grow light that is that annoying purple color. The plants love it. They have been under it for 6 months I have new growth and Spikes. I would look for a light with a better spectrum than the one you are showing. a light with a bit more red. Red is what helps get nice blooms. After all us orchid grows love flowers right.

LED is the way to go. I find the best deals on ebay. Do you know what the PAR is? PAR is what you want to look for in a light these days.

Hello Pahpslover

I also use the T5H0 from Sunblaster. I may eventually have get more. Before buying more I would like to know what would make you change from T5H0 to LED right now ?

I'm not to good with light specs, therefore they don't really means much to me. But as T5H0 are good I'm not to worry about the best light quality between the two.

What I wonder is do I need less LED bare than T5H0 bare ?
Because, if I need the same number of fixtures than T5H0 I'll stick with the T5H0 for now. Unless of course the lifespan of the LED makes it worth the extra money.

What is your opinion ?

Most people say the cost of LED plus cost of electricity is less than the cost of T5HO plus electricity over the life of the bulb plus fixture.

If you already have T5HO fixtures it will take longer to save money. I think if people have no lights they should start with LED. People who have T5HO now and who are happy with them probably should stay with them unless they want to save money.

Thank you for your answer @estación seca. It is exactly the answer I was looking for. I won't replace my T5H0 but if I have to purchase more I'll look into LED.
