Attractive, designed grow lights

I want to put some grow lights in my sun room to compensate for the low winter light here, but everything I find looks like it should be hanging in a green house or somebodies basement to grow pot. They are are all square, etc. very boring, very ugly with no style or charm. Is there any way to have attractive grow lights in my sun room?

Depends on your personal aesthetic, I guess. I like the one I built for my own space, but I could easily imagine it being put into one of your unfavorable categories! . I'd think anything could be built according to your own design aesthetic. It just depends on what you might be willing to spend for it.

For example, I've seen some pendant lights I really love that would look great over my dining room table for around $500. But I am not in a position to pay that much money for a single light fixture. If I were, I'd have a lot more fashionable lighting in my house than I do. Or maybe I wouldn't. Maybe I'd do a lot more fieldwork on my own dime than I currently, do instead. Actually, probably the latter! It's all about how much money things cost and whether you're willing to spend that much to get what you want.

I think most out-of-the-box grow light systems are going to look utilitarian. If you have a particular look you want, you may need to design it yourself, or have a craftsperson design it for you. As has been pointed out, expect to pay more $$

I think any fixture that uses fluorescent tubes looks like it belongs in a grow-op.

Buy a lighting track, some inexpensive track fixtures and a mix of cool and warm white LEDs that fit into the fixtures. Right now GU10 fixtures and bulbs are probably the least expensive, and as long as you have everything consistent, you'll have a nice looking fixture. I have my track resting on supports about 70 cm above the windowsill surface, so with the fixtures being about 20 cm, and the plant pots and leaves being about 30-40 cm, the lights are close enough to have an effect.

The best place to buy LED bulbs is online, on Amazon or Aliexpress.

You all got my creative juices going. Wondering I can't find one of those floor lamps with multiple heads that people behind their sofas that arch over the top, don't know the proper term for them and find grow bulbs to go in each one. I have found that grow light bulbs come in various forms. Sounds like if I want something stylish I am going to have to creative though I certainly can't afford $500 as one of you suggested. Many thanks for your ideas

Don't know if this will hot link or not. I found this four head, arced floor lamp that will accept 60W grow bulbs. The heads are adjustable as well. Would this work for a nice looking set of grow lights

Wow, that's really good! But I'd use LEDs rather than fluorescent grow lights. Here is a link for mail order light bulbs.
