Ray's LED lamp mounting
Does anyone have a picture of how they mounted 1 or 2 of Ray's LED lamps? I have a 4' metro rack and would like to mount 2 lamps onto it. I have about 24-30 in of room to play with with heightwise and would like to see what others have done.
Thanks, Bill

Bill - for 2 lamps, I like dual holders like the one pictured below. You can screw a threaded tube of any length (the wires run inside of it) into it.

Do you have this gadget in use in your set up, Ray? I'd like to see a picture of how you've mounted your lights. I'm a fan of the LEDs--they provide most of the light for all my orchids--but I've struggled with mounting them in a way that gets the light where I need it to be. I'm relying on clamp on shop lamps with the reflector removed and it really limits where I can place my lights.

Thanks Ray. If I place a fixture like that in the center of a 4 ft shelf will I get enough light at the end of the shelf for phals?

Sorry, Beth. No photo.
However, at the local lamp store, I purchased the holder and a 3" long brass threaded tube. That tube screws into the holder, then I drilled a hole in the hood of the terrarium and, with a washer and nut on both sides, just tightened it up to hold it in place.

I put my bulbs into an incandescent hood purchased at Walmart for 10 gallon aquariums. Works pretty well.
