They look REALLY healthy to me! Usually the reddish or purple hue is due to lots of light. I'd say, leave it and the plants will accustom theirselves to the light. I don't think you have a problem. (BTW, really green Phal leaves could be a symptom of too little light also.)

I have a phal. that has always had purple leaves. I bought it that way. It's now putting up a spike for me! One of the healthest plants I have. I ruined the spike though! I had watered it and was putting it back under the lights and SNAP! It broke the tip off! And the buds were just starting to form! I'm hoping it branchs off and forms another set of buds.

The seedlings look fine. How close are they to the tubes? I would think 8" would be good. the light may be too bright for the flasks though. Put them at the ends where there is less light.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions. Seedlings are about 8" from the light. Before I use cheap and unknown lights and didn't see any purple color. After I change the light and all new leaves of seedlings turn purple. I think my new tubes provides more spectrum than old tubes.

Hi, how did you seal the lids on your flasks?

I cover the lids to avoid dust and contamination. There is a venting hole allows air moving.

Oh I see. I thought they were sealed to keep fungus/mold out.

I'm so happy to read this. I placed my phals under new grow lights and they are turning a nice purple blush. And it's sent up a spike. So excited!
