I decided it was time to switch out my MH 400w to 430 hps , I have heard so much about light intensity being a quality factor when it comes to raising orchids , I am not sure if I have done the plants a favour since all of them (18) some are a diff species. But i do have some phals in spike mode currently and thought it would be best if i got this hid out , that i already had just collecting dust .
I did notice lots of root development , rapidly with MH lamp and i am not sure what may happen now since i have forced summer sun at those plants , most of them are getting 1500 fc I will attach a pic of my setup and if anyone see,s anything wrong or could suggest something better , let me know ...Thanks
Oh..the last pic is not an orchid ..its tomato growing in a DWC and doing well.
