Rebuilt Orchidarium
My apologies for being around so seldom recently. We've done a lot of traveling the past few months and have been extremely busy. Among other things I used the little spare time I did have to rebuild my "orchidarium" or wardian case, adding a foot in height and making some other changes described in the blog post below.

Amazing orchidarium filled with lots of incredible orchids! I see Laelia kleberi in there, does it prefer the cool and humid condition like PNG Dendrobium?

Thanks for looking. I'm trying the Laelia to see how it does. Giving it a dry rest and hoping the high light works well for it.

I'm so jealous. Every time I see a picture of your setup it makes me want to sneak across the border and try to bring it back with me.
Really awesome!

What a great display Ron! I think changing to the glass is much better in the long run, nice to have a son to help you out.

Thanks, Rebecca and Bill. You're welcome to come down and see the set-up sometime, Rebecca. Just call to make sure we're home. You can't take it back with you, though! And, Bill, not only did my son help build the case, but he works for a window company, so I got all the glass out of old units and didn't have to pay for it.

Thanks Paul and Leaf. Especially lucky, Paul, to have a son who's in the glass business. He not only provided the glass, but ground the edges of the doors and got pulls for the doors.
