Default Bimini Orchidarium

Anybody on the list growing in one of these Bimini orchidarium units? I'm seriously considering buying one, as I've recently moved into a house (rented) where I can't really keep orchids on shelves due to humidity/water damage risk. I'm looking for general impressions of the unit, durability, practicality, growing results. Thanks, hope to hear from someone! -Stephen

I don't have any experience with Bimini. It seems to be pretty expensive for what you get. The light seems to be pretty wimpy. Is 55 gallon tank an option? Occasionally, PetCo has it for $55. Or grow tent? This is what I use: Amazon.com: LEDwholesalers GYO1009 60-Inch x 48-Inch x 24-Inch Mylar Reflective Hydroponic Grow Tent: Patio, Lawn & Garden

It's pretty decent quality.

I can't comment on the Bimini specifically, but it doesn't really seem economical. You can probably pick up a used aquarium (you can often find them for free even) and some cheap lighting for like an eighth of that price.
