I was wondering if anyone has any info on the type of lighting?

Apparentlly there EFDL lights.

Never heard of until now them but for $700 bucks, I don't find them very attractive..

I've never used one for plants but do use them at my job for something other then growing. And I can tell you that the technology is for-real. And, you do get a lot of light throughput per watt. I would think they would surpass LED in watt/lumen efficiency. I don't know their expected lifetimes though. I would stay with LED for now until we see some more information on them related to plants.

If you want to read more >> The people that seem to experiment the most with lighting are the 'pot growers'. Check out rollitup.org for some great info on indoor growing and even some plasma light stuff.
