I had this laying around from a reef tank, so I thought I would brighten a corner of the greenhouse and take advantage of the heat this thing throws off and warm it up a couple more decrease in there. It's the wrong spectrum for orchids, it's 14,000k for corals, which is a lot of blue but not much
red light waves. what negative effects do you think it would have on plants? I have no cash to change out the bulb, so it will have to do. I figure extra light in the wrong spectrum is better than no extra light!? It's about 2.5 feet above the plants and about 1200fc reach the top leaves and 600 FCC reaches the pots.
