I had no clue about the spectrum, or any of the other values. I was shocked when I was at Petsmart trying to buy Aquarium/plant bulbs when the guy told me that for my purposes to just go to Home Depot and buy the Daylight bulbs. After a little research and based upon what you guyshave told me, I guess he was right! I just saved a whole lot of money, whew!
By the way, I replaced all my old T12 fixtures (other than the one that's hardwired as I fear electricity) with T8's.
